Eldorado Family Health Newsletter

Did you know that anxiety is a common occurrence among school aged children? Changing schools, increasing academic expectation, experiencing changes in grades, and setting new social demands can provoke extreme anxiety and lead to depression for some children. Anxious or depressed children may appear very shy, tend to avoid social contact and withdraw from or overreact to unfamiliar situations. They may exhibit intense sadness, fears and worries, not enjoy activities they previously enjoyed, have problems eating and sleeping, and even talk about death. Eldorado Family Health is here to help. Please call 505-216-7772 and make an appointment with Edward Lobaugh, our psychiatric nurse practitioner, for an evaluation and treatment plan.
